PLAYA LA MINA.

Named for the coal mining that took place after World War II, this mine was only active for three years, until the material declined in quality and quantity.

At this site, you can observe marine fossil remains, the "sand dollar" being the most abundant, in addition to thin coal seams at the foot of the cliff and glauconite bands towards the top.
